The profile on Terrence's main page isn't the same at the [community profile] b_a_s_t_i_o_n community.

His profile there:

Name: Terrence Allenby

Age: 48

Race: Vampire

Occupation: BASTION Agent - Technician

Brief History: He was kidnapped and subjected to an experiment five years ago. He awoke as a vampire, though he has no idea why the rouge experimenters chose him. After the experimenters were chased off, Terrence volunteered himself to be chipped.

Being transformed has put a rift in his family and some members still don't want to have anything to do with him. He's a bit cautious now when talking to regular people but once he's gained someone's trust, he's very loyal.

He's since moved out to the west cost to accept his a position with BASTION.

didanexperiment: (OOC)
(I had this character as part of a very silly fanfic but decided to move him into complete OC territory. Granted, his story is still on the silly side, but hey...)

Back in 2007, Terrence was an average computer systems analyst. One evening, he found himself cornered by two vampires, one male and one female. It seemed that he would end up dinner and Terrence basically fainted when he saw the lady vampire's fangs come at him. He awoke a short while later feeling rather strange. He had no idea of the identities of those that cornered him but soon learned he was a vampire too.

As if that wasn't bad enough, his boss was a little freaked out having someone with fangs working for him and quietly dismissed him from the company. Terrence has since gotten by on various odd jobs that have a night shift so he can at least afford a roof over his head. His family was a bit freaked out by what happened to him too. Since that fateful day, he's had rather limited contact with his sister and mother. His sister has especially wanted Terrence to stay away from her since she was very worried about explaining everything to her two children, Terrence's five year old niece and eight year old nephew. All his niece and nephew know is that their uncle has gotten very sick and can't visit them anymore.

Terrence has figured out ways to keep himself fed without having to hunt down people. He jokes about this, saying, "Well, who would want a serial killer in their family? That's basically what I'd end up being if I...you know. No thanks." He tends to use humor as a defense mechanism too.

More than anything, he'd like to find someway to be a regular person again just so he can get back to a normal life. (That and so he doesn't have to spend most of his birthday sleeping. Ironically, he was born on June 21st which is often the longest day of the year.)

Abilities wise, his strength has nearly doubled what it was when he was human and he's a lot more agile as well. (Relatively speaking, he's come across a few vampires who are much stronger than he is. But Terrence tends to be quicker than them.) When he's very angry, his eyes begin to glow a golden color.

He has weaknesses that are the typical ones for vampires - sunlight, not being able to survive decapitation or a stake through the heart. However, crosses and holy water don't bother him. He thinks it may have to do with the fact that he was dragged to church every Sunday until he was in his mid-20's but he's not sure.

Terrence has a mage friend named Eion and they've known each other since childhood. Terrence learns fairly early on about Eion's talent for magic, a gift he inherits from his mother, Helen.

Eion's father, James, over time pretty much ends up becoming unphased by a lot of supernatural goings on. He was an FBI agent too and Eion followed in his father's footsteps. Eion tends to get saddled with the odd cases others don't want to deal with since they seem to involve the supernatural. (Some actually do and some don't. In the ones that do, Eion is known to use his magic to protect himself and others.)

After Terrence's transformation, Eion attempts to try to change his friend back. He can't, as his magic isn't powerful enough to do so. But he is able to make sure Terrence retains his conscience and personality. There's a bit of a trade off as Terrence's abilities are somewhat diminished, leaving Terrence weaker than other vampires and his heightened senses not always being able to warn him of danger right away.

[Also, as a side note, Terrence isn't meant to be a serious entry into vampire lore. He's a bit of a goofball. So you may notice more of his entries are a bit humorous though there are a couple of serious ones that give him some backstory.]
